       The world's first 100000 ton deep water semi submersible production and storage platform, the "Deep Sea No.1" energy station located in the Lingshui Sea area, has successfully completed all equipment installation work recently. This move means that the entire production equipment of the energy station has met the production conditions, marking an important step forward in China's deepwater oil and gas resource development capacity. It is of great significance for enhancing China's marine resource development capacity, ensuring national energy security, and supporting the strategy of becoming a maritime power.

       It is reported that the "Deep Sea No.1" energy station departed from Yantai, Shandong in mid January this year, lasting for 18 days and sailing over 1600 nautical miles. It successfully arrived at the Lingshui sea area in the southeast of Hainan Island and landed in the "Deep Sea No.1" atmospheric field (Lingshui 17-2), starting offshore mooring, installation, and production debugging work. After the energy station arrived at the predetermined location in the Lingshui sea area, the on-site operation team efficiently carried out the precise positioning of the platform and the installation and docking of mooring polyester cables and oil and gas transmission pipelines. For several months, the installation work of surface and underwater facilities has been non-stop, successfully completing the laying and connection of 14 submarine pipelines and the laying and lifting of 6 steel catenary risers, and conquering the autonomous installation technology of deep water steel catenary. In the construction and installation process of the "Deep Sea No.1" energy station, 3 world-class innovations and 13 domestic pioneering technologies were adopted, breaking through 12 "bottleneck" technologies, becoming a masterpiece in the field of China's marine engineering equipment and breaking the fastest pace of platform construction in the world.

       At present, the "Deep Sea No.1" energy station is intensifying the final equipment joint debugging work before production. The gas field production team has developed detailed operational steps to address the challenge of using long-distance and highly inclined subsea pipelines for reverse gas transportation debugging for the first time, and completed a process operability analysis of the initial well opening plan to ensure that the final production work is flawless.

       It is reported that the "Deep Sea No.1" atmospheric field was discovered in the Lingshui sea area in southeastern Hainan Island in August 2014, which is the first major oil and gas discovery in China's self operated deep water exploration. At the end of 2018, CNOOC officially launched substantive engineering construction work for the gas field, with the development plan adopting the model of "semi submersible production platform underwater production system exporting to submarine pipelines". The gas field is expected to be officially put into operation by the end of June this year, with a peak annual gas production of over 3 billion cubic meters. By surrounding Hainan Island and connecting the submarine pipelines of Guangdong and Hong Kong, it continuously transports clean energy from the deep sea to the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the Hainan Free Trade Port, which can meet one fourth of the people's gas demand in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
